Jaylee
A whirlwind of personality , 9 year old Jaylee has Cystic Fibrosis.
A lung & digestive disease; she also has a blood clot and needs to take Warfim to thin her blood. She spends a lot of time in Hospital.
Through research, education, medical and allied health efforts extending from clinics to home, life expectancy for kids with CF has moved from an average of less than 10 years to 30 years over the last two decades. It is the most common life shortening genetic condition in Australia today.
Jaylee's favourite thing in the Hospital is the Starlight Room, Captain Starlight and the very kind nurses who are so nice to her.
Her favourite thing to do is watch TV, draw and play with her dogs. She has a horse called Cookie who she loves, but her condition means that she will not be able to keep her beloved horse for much longer.
Her favourite food is lasagna and she loves lollies.
Jaylee and her family like to get away to places and love playing games. Her favourite person is her mum because she looks after her so well and wants to see her well, happy and healthy.
Jaylee loves to sing and dance. If she was granted one wish it would be for a Poodle. If she could change on thing in the world it would be a cure for Cystic Fibrois
Jaylee is looking forward to being a Hero because it means she will be a 'star' and she will be helping people.
To the Woolies team she says 'thank you for caring about sick kids', to the Hospital team she says, 'thank you so much'. |
