Angela
7 year old Angela's faith is very strong. Her favourite people are Jesus and Mother Mary because without them she says she would not be here.
Diagnosed with Biliary Atresia in February 2000, this meant that Angela's bile ducts had not developed. There was no connection between the liver and her intestines. The condition causes bile build up in the liver, scaring of the liver, and eventually lead to Angela having a liver transplant January 2001, she was 1 year old. Having recovered from a transplant, Angela was quite well until July 2006 when she was diagnosed with cancer in the Lymphnodes. Her chemo treatment finished in December 2006. Today she is well and under supervision.
Angela's favourite things about the Hospital are the craft areas, playing areas, Starlight Room, and all the Dr's & nurses who made the stay more enjoyable.
She loves to eat anything, especially her dad's chicken. Angela's favourite things to do are; playing all sports, watching the Bulldogs & supporting any Australian team, she love drawing & colouring, craft work & fishing…sounds like a bit of a 'tom boy'.
Angela has a 4 year old brother called Charbel, her favourite things at school, are teachers, church and friends.
Granted one wish it would be no more war, that everybody would love everybody else, and she'd like to go to Disney World. If Angela could change one thing in the world it would be that more people would pray.
Angela wants to be a Hero because she would like to support the Hospital any way she can. To the Woolies team she says thank you for making our lives easier by helping the Hospital. |
