Checkout bags

As part of our ongoing commitment to creating a better environment, we offer a range of reusable bags in-store. We offer green Woolworths bags and chiller bags for purchase! We encourage customers to re-use bags wherever possible, and you'll find a plastic bag recycling bin at the front of most Woolworths/Safeway stores. Flexible Payment Options

We offer a choice of payment options - including cash, EFTPOS, credit card and cheque. We accept personal, government, bank and travellers' cheques (in Australian currency) subject to our company policy and procedure. If you're paying with a cheque, please bring identification with you - and speak to your Service Desk Manager if you need more information.

Home Delivery

Unable to get to the supermarket? Why not have your groceries delivered directly to your home or workplace? Speak with your Checkout Operator to find out whether our home delivery service is available at your local store.

In-store Butchers

At most Woolworths/Safeway stores, qualified butchers and apprentices are trimming, preparing and packing over 200 different cuts of fresh meat. Woolworths has over 2000 butchers and over 550 apprentices in stores Australia-wide available to assist you in selecting or preparing your favourite cut of meat. Click here for more information
