Celebrating 100 million meals
Together, Woolworths & OzHarvest have now delivered 100 million meals to Australians in need.
Our partnership, now in its 11th year, is supporting the delivery of 50,000 meals per day, donated free of charge to over 1,800 charities across all Australian States and Territories.
This has be made possible by the love, care, compassion and and connection of thousands of local Woolworths team members, working together with local OzHarvest drivers to make sure that no surplus food goes to waste.
The generous support of Woolworths customers has also been vital to this milestone, with our annual OzHarvest Christmas Appeal raising $20 million over the past 10 years.
Many hands make light work, so we wish to thank everyone that has played a role in making this possible.
How every 50 cent donation that you make is helping to provide a meal
All of the food that Woolworths donates to OzHarvest is distributed, directly and free of charge to their network of national charities , but it is the infrastructure cost of the drivers, the vans, the insurance, the warehouses and the refrigeration that combined, equates to 50 cents per meal for this distribution. 100% of your donation is given directly to OzHarvest.
Any donations of over $2.00 are Tax Deductible to you, the donor.
