How we support a safe, respectful environment for customers and team.
We serve more than 20 million customers a week. And almost all our customers do the right thing. For that we thank you for treating our team with respect. Sadly, we are experiencing a rise in abuse and violence against our team members. In recent months, there were more than 3000 reported acts of violence, threats or abuse. Such incidents can have a lasting impact and that is why we’re investing in additional measures to protect our team. You might notice some of these when you’re next shopping in our Supermarkets, Metro Stores and BIG W.
