Discover the latest Art Bag range, designed in collaboration with Melbourne/Naarm-based artist, Leah Bartholomew. These vibrant, durable and lightweight totes are the third series of reusable bags designed by Australian artists for Woolworths.
Leah's works reflect the optimism and energy of observed landscapes, especially the beauty of local flora. There are 3 fresh designs to choose from titled: Harvest, Alfresco and Bloom. Each featuring art inspired by fresh food, unique flora and colour from Australian places.

Equal parts art and practical, the bags have a large carrying capacity and an extra long strap, making them great for big and small shops alike. The entire range is made from at least 85% recycled plastics, but they do more than carry your groceries. These are bags that give back - with 20 cents from every reusable art bag sold, going towards OzHarvest to deliver meals to Australians in need.

Say goodbye to floppy bags at checkout! The Click N Stay reusable bag range simplifies your shopping experience, especially at self-checkouts. Made using at least 90% recycled plastic, and available in 3 fun designs, the unique Click N Stay mechanism clicks into place, keeping the bag open and stable for seamless packing.

We encourage our customers to bring their own reusable bags when shopping with us. If you forget, don’t worry, we have a range of reusable bags available in store that are designed to be functional, affordable and reused again and again.

We don't sell or use biodegradable plastic shopping bags for a few reasons. Biodegradable plastics break down at different rates depending on their composition, how they are disposed of and where. The biodegrable plastics may also break down into smaller parts during the process of biodegradation, which may be mistakenly ingested by animals if not disposed of in appropriate locations. Also, due to their degradable nature, some biodegradable plastics may not be accepted for or suitable for recycling.

Removing single-use plastic bags and 15c reusable plastic bags at the checkout is an important first step. But we’re not stopping there. We've introduced reusable mesh fruit and veg bags that customers can purchase in all stores, and we're supporting the use of compostable fruit and vegetable bags in regions where there is widespread access to kerbside composting facilities, such as in South Australia.

Absolutely! For Pick up & Direct to Boot orders you can select a ‘BYO bags’ option at checkout. With this option, we’ll pack your order directly into a shopping trolley for you to pick up in-store, or for us to deliver direct to your boot. You can then re-pack your groceries into your own bags. Please note that for food safety reasons, some products will continue to be packed into produce or reusable bags.
