We’re continuing to roll out Scan&Go to more Woolworths stores. Check our store locator on this page for the latest availability.

You’ll need an Everyday Rewards card to get started. You can find your card in the Everyday Rewards or Woolworths app, or use a physical card.

1. At the device wall near the store entrance, tap the screen and scan your Everyday Rewards card.

2. Remove the unlocked device and attach it to your trolley.

3. Follow the prompts on screen to start shopping.

Not an Everyday Rewards member?  Join now.

Yes. Your points and activated boosters are applied automatically at checkout, so there’s no need to scan your card again.

Items sold by weight

Place them on the scales, follow the prompts, then use the retractable scanner to scan the barcode shown on screen.

Items sold by quantity, like avocados

Use the scales to enter the quantity, then scan the barcode shown on screen. You can also scan the barcode on the item or shelf ticket.

Pre-packaged items

Scan the barcode on the packaging or shelf ticket.

If an item won’t scan, tap More → Manually Type Barcode.

If you see a message that the item needs team member help, hold onto it and keep shopping. We’ll help you add it when you come to pay.

Most items can be scanned as you shop. Some need a quick check at the self-serve checkout, including gift cards, age-restricted items, SodaStream cylinder exchanges and quantity-limited items.

A team member will help you when you come to pay.

Tobacco products must be purchased separately at the service desk.

Tap the bin icon or change the quantity to zero, then return the item to the shelf.

When you’re ready, head to the self-serve checkout to quickly transfer and pay for your shop, then:

1. Select Checkout on your device.

2. At the self-serve checkout, tap Complete Scan&Go shop.

3. Scan the barcode on screen using the device’s retractable scanner.

4. Pay using the usual payment options, including card, cash, gift cards or Everyday Rewards dollars

You may need to queue if the self-serve checkouts are busy. Once a checkout is available, you can quickly transfer your shop and pay.

When you come to pay, you may be selected for a quick scan check, which usually takes less than a minute.
A team member will scan a few items to make sure they match your shop. Customers are selected by our technology, not by the team member.

If anything doesn’t match, they’ll help you fix it before you pay.

Tap More → Cancel shop, then let a team member know so they can help return the device.

Yes. Cameras point down into the trolley to help check that items are scanned correctly.

Any personal or identifying features captured are blurred.

Scan&Go uses the trolley’s location within the store to help us understand how customers shop and detect unusual activity.

In future, it may also be used to show more relevant offers and product recommendations based on where the trolley is in the store.
