How to pick
Look for nectarines with smooth, firm skin and a sweet aroma. They should give a little when gently pressed and feel slightly heavy for their size. Yellow-gold speckles are sugar spots, indicating a sweeter fruit.
How to store
Store nectarines out of direct sunlight, at room temperature. Avoid keeping them in the fridge for a long period of time as this will cause chilling damage. Only wash right before use.
How to use
White nectarines are generally sweeter in flavour than yellow varieties. Enjoy nectarines on their own, or add them to summery salads and desserts. Bake them in a pie, or pair them with basil and chicken.
