How to store prawns
To maximise the freshness of your prawns this Christmas, buy them as close as possible to when you'll use them and store them in an airtight container in the coldest part of your fridge. They'll keep for up to three days, whether cooked or raw. Keep uncooked prawns in their shells until a few hours before cooking.
If you need to plan further ahead, buy frozen prawns and thaw them overnight in the fridge in an airtight container. Rinse with cold water before using.
