Peeling Whole Prawns

1. Remove the Head: Hold the body of the prawn firmly in one hand and twist the head off with your other hand. The head can be discarded or saved to make a flavourful seafood stock.

2. Peel the Body: Starting from the underside where the legs are attached, simply unwrap and peel the shell off in segments. The legs will come away with the shell.

3. Devein (Optional): The dark line running along the prawn's back is its digestive tract. While edible, it can be gritty. To remove it, make a shallow incision along the back with a small knife and lift the vein out.

4. Remove the Tail: Simply pinch the base of the tail and gently pull it away from the body.
