How is vegan chocolate made?
Not all chocolate is vegan due to their use of animal-derived ingredients including whey, casein, milk, milk fat, and milk solids.
Good news for dark chocolate lovers – dark chocolate is often made without dairy due to its high concentration of cacao beans. However, make sure you always check the label to make certain.
The higher the cacao, the richer the flavour
The higher amount of cacao leads to a stronger taste that chocolate lovers adore. A typical vegan chocolate will have the dairy components replaced with non-animal derived ingredients such as coconut and vanilla.
