The sun is our principal source of infrared heat. As the sun's rays hit the surface of the earth, the heat we perceive is, in fact, Far Infrared waves. Infrared heat is essential for all life. When you lie on the beach you are soaking up infrared heat. Unfortunately, you are also receiving direct damage to your skin by ultra-violet rays, because the light of the sun contains not only Far Infrared waves but also Ultra-Violet. However, our FIR portable sauna provides the benefits of natural sunlight without any of the dangerous effects of solar radiation like Ultra-Violet.

A conventional sauna must rely on indirect means to convey the heat to the body (convection - air currents - and conduction). But Infrared rays convert to heat on contact with the body. Only 20 per cent of the rays from an Infrared heater heats the air, leaving over 80 per cent of the energy to heat you. Thus, an Infrared-heated sauna can warm you to a greater depth and more efficiently than a conventional sauna, while letting you breathe easily.

**Note: The footpad cannot be controlled separately. Some customers have commented that it can be too hot as it contacts the skin directly. If it feels too hot, you can lean it against the back or side. Do not put a towel on top of it as the heat cannot escape and it may overheat.

• RETURNS:
  • All returns must be approved by Always Direct before the item is sent back. Where appropriate, you will be issued with a return form. The return offer is valid for 14 days from the date of issue.
  • If you wish to return an item due to change of mind, a 20% restocking fee may be deducted from the refund amount. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • If goods are delivered faulty or not of acceptable quality (DOA), please contact us strictly within 14 days of receiving the item for Always Direct to approve a return. After the return has been received an inspected, Always Direct will, at their discretion, provide either a refund, replacement or repair dependent on the situation. 
  • If an item, upon its return is found not to be faulty after thorough inspection, a $50 service fee may be charged, as well as return shipping costs.
• WARRANTY:
  • After the DOA period has expired, a further warranty period may apply.
  • Most Always Direct products come with a 3 month warranty unless specified otherwise on the individual product description.
  • If a fault should arise within the warranty period, a replacement will be issued. If the item is no longer available then a full refund will be given.
  • Many products are also covered by a manufacturer's warranty in the event of a defect.
