Life Rock started their life millions of years ago on a seafloor thriving with marine life.
With the retreat of the oceans, this ancient piece of aragonite reef rock is now found inland. Our pure base rock is over 98% calcium carbonate infused with minerals and trace elements such as strontium, magnesium, and barium.
This rock has an amazing 60% matrix of free space offering a huge surface area for the establishment and residence of billions of water-purifying bacteria. Life Rock is infused with bacteria spores and Oolitic Aragonite from the Bahamas using Aqua Natural's state of the art technology which results in a reduction of traditional cycling times.
Each piece has multiple layered aragonite coatings embedded within our lab made ocean safe pigments that resemble the natural look and texture of coralline algae. With over 1,600 kinds of marine algae in nature we have chosen the most sought after “looks” and colours.
