Phosphate in natural sea water ranges from less than 0.01 mg/L to 0.3 mg/L. For corals in reef aquaria, such phosphates should be 0.2 mg/L or less. Phosphates are non-toxic to fish and most invertebrates, but are ideally kept below 1 mg/L to minimize algae growth. In freshwater, phosphates are not critical and the allowable concentration is dependent on variables such as nitrate, manganese, iron, and vitamin concentrations, as well as the extent of use of live plants.

MultiTest(TM) Phosphate measures inorganic phosphate to less than 0.05 mg/L, producing a unique easy to read yellow-green-blue color range in marine and freshwater; however, usually, freshwater phosphate concentrations will be beyond the range of this kit, and dilutions of the sample with distilled water will be required. It performs over 75 tests and contains a reference sample for validation.

If you find you are not satisfied with an item that you have received, you are welcome to return it to us. We accept returns within 365 days of purchase when the item is in its original condition, with packaging & labels, unopened and unused. This does not include food, live plants or any other perishable items.

All returns within the 365 day period are required to include your receipt. Once we have received and accepted the returned item, a credit will be issued. Shipping or return shipping prices are not included in the refunded price.

You need to include the Return & Exchange Form along with the item(s) you are returning in their original condition and any packaging that came with it. Please note that whilst individual packaging can be opened, the box or container must not be ripped, damaged or the seals removed in order to be eligible for a refund or exchange.
