D-TER Animal & Bird Repellent 100g – Repels Pets, Birds & Wildlife

D-TER Animal & Bird Repellent helps discourage pets, birds and wildlife from fouling or damaging selected areas around the home, garden and property. It can be used to deter dogs, cats, possums, rabbits, pigeons, parrots, cockatoos, rodents and other listed animals without physically harming them when used as directed.

The 100g water-soluble powder can be mixed with warm water and applied to plants, lawns, paths, fences, buildings and other suitable surfaces. It can also be applied as a dry powder to lawn seed, bulbs and other seeds before sowing to discourage birds and rodents.

D-TER acts on the senses of smell and taste, making treated areas less appealing to visiting animals and birds. It is intended to encourage them to avoid the area rather than trap, injure or kill them.

Established habits may take several days to break, particularly with pets that repeatedly return to the same territory. A second application after two to three days may be needed in persistent cases, followed by occasional reapplication when required.

These constituents create an unpleasant taste and smell response that discourages animals and birds from returning to treated areas.

Mix D-TER thoroughly with lukewarm water and allow the solution to cool before application.

• Add 50g of D-TER to 1 litre of warm water

• Mix thoroughly until dissolved

• Allow the solution to cool

• Apply using a garden sprayer or watering can fitted with a fine rose

• Use the 100g pack to prepare up to 2 litres of spray

• Treat up to approximately 120m², depending on the surface and application

• Rinse the sprayer nozzle before the solution dries and causes a blockage

Do not apply when rain is expected within two hours. If rain falls before the treatment has dried, reapplication may be required once the area is dry.

D-TER can be used on selected areas including:

Remove animal droppings and clean hard surfaces before spraying, as residual odours may encourage dogs or cats to return. New plant growth and swelling fruit may need further treatment as untreated areas appear.

D-TER is not classified as hazardous under current Safe Work Australia criteria, but the powder may still irritate the eyes and skin and should not be inhaled. Always read and follow the product label before mixing or applying it.

Reapplication depends on the animal, surface, weather and new plant growth. Persistent habits may require a second treatment after two to three days, while plants may need further applications as new untreated growth appears.

D-TER is formulated to repel animals without harming them when used as directed. However, avoid exposing pets to the concentrated powder and follow all label instructions during mixing and application.

Allow at least two hours for the treatment to dry. If rain falls within two hours of application, spray the area again after it has dried. Rain and new plant growth may also make later reapplication necessary.

No. Do not mix D-TER with pesticides, fungicides or other treatments. Apply the other product first, then use D-TER separately. The manufacturer recommends waiting seven days after applying D-TER before using another spray.
