About the Maker
The Olsson family have been making solar sea salt since the 1950s and is the oldest family owned and operated sea salt maker in Australia with a history in Australia dating back to 1878. Through the process called 'solar evaporation' using only the sun and wind, Olsson's sea salt flakes are sourced from two of the the world's most pristine oceans - The Great Barrier Reef in Queensland and The Great Australian Bight in South Australia. The end result is an exquisite all natural sea salt free from chemical processes that tastes of the ocean.
