What is wheat germ?
The germ of a cereal is the reproductive part that germinates to grow into a plant; it is the embryo of the seed and the part that's responsible for the development and growth of the new plant sprout.
Raw v stabilised wheat germ?
Stabilised wheat germ has been stabilised by steaming to keep it fresh for longer. This prevents the wheat germ from oxidising, while still retaining its flavour and nutritional qualities.
Lotus Stabilised Wheat Germ is:
high in dietary fibre
a rich source of protein
non-GMO
suitable for vegetarians
The Lotus brand is well known for being committed to sourcing the highest quality organic ingredients and premium raw materials that taste great, without compromising shelf life. In Australia Lotus products are globally sourced, GMO-free, and packed in Melbourne in allergen-free production facilities. A process that uses re-sealable, oxygen barrier bags to maintain freshness.
