Onyx is a lying Persian or Chantilly cat in a solid black colour and is a realistic soft plush toy and is a premium quality handmade soft long-haired yellow-eyed cat and is very cuddly.

These cats have some of the most unique looking eyes, having a way of standing out due to them being yellow and with the fur a dark color. Their tails are usually held in a curled position over their backs.

- Onyx measures 33cm/13-in in length excluding the tail or 46cm/18-in including the tail, 19cm/7.5-in in height and 23cm/9-in in width.
- The stuffing for Onyx was made using 16 recycled plastic bottles.

Bocchetta Plush Toys was established in 1948, in Arona, Italy by Giovanni Bocchetta and Clementina Ottobrini. Giovanni adored animals and was inspired to produce stuffed animals. Every toy was hand sewn and they made their own fur. Linda Bocchetta, an Australian citizen, met Luigi (Giovanni and Clementina's son) while she was living in Italy. They continued to operate the family business in Italy together before moving it to Indonesia, where they increased the scope of production. In 2005, they moved the design and wholesale section of the business to Australia where it continues to operate today.
