The Chattanooga Continuum Heel/Foot Switch, also referred to as a foot switch, is an accessory for the Chattanooga Continuum(TM) neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) device.
It allows a patient to activate muscle stimulation by simply pressing down with their heel or foot inside their shoe, providing a hands-free way to control the stimulation. This is particularly useful for gait training and other applications where freeing up the hands is beneficial. The patient can stop the therapy at any time, with the quickness of stepping down on the heel switch.
