Seachem Reef Potassium 4L (SC1309)
Seachem Reef Potassium 4L (SC1309)
- Potassium Supplement for the Reef Aquarium
- Supports Growth and Coloration
- Concentrated 100,000 mg/L Potassium
Potassium is an essential element required in metabolic processes, protein synthesis, and growth of corals and macroalgae. In systems supported with nitrogen and phosphorus supplementation, potassium utilization rates may be increased. Supplementing with Reef Potassium(TM) provides a targeted means of increasing potassium concentrations effectively without also adding phosphate or dissolved organics.
In many reef aquariums, potassium supplementation can enhance coral and macroalgae growth and color - particularly red and pink colors in corals.
Reef Potassium(TM) is ideally suited for use with an aquavitro(R) sentia(TM) dose doser to maintain potassium at consistent concentration based on your aquarium's unique demand but is easily dosed manually as well. Ideal potassium levels will vary but generally range from 380 - 400 mg/L potassium. Reef Potassium(TM)(TM) contains 10% elemental potassium. Use Reef Nitrogen(TM)(TM) and Reef Phosphorus(TM) to maintain optimal nitrogen and phosphorus levels.
Ingredients
| Soluble Potash (K20) | 12.07% |
Derived from Potassium Chloride
Directions
Beginner
Use 1 cap (5 mL) per 160 L (40 US gallons) twice a week or as needed to maintain desired potassium levels.
Advanced
The beginner dose raises potassium by 3 mg/L. To target a specific potassium level, increase dose according to the following formula: 0.01vn=m where v= volume of tank in liters, n=desired potassium increase, and m= volume of product to use in ml. For example, to raise 160 liters by 3 mg/L potassium you would use 0.01*160*3 resulting in 5 mL to dose. For reference: 1 US gallon=3.8 L.
Sizes: 100 mL, 250 mL, 500 mL, 2 L, 4 L
