How it was designed...: During our treks, we came up with the idea of this model which combines the ultra-compact design of our folding poles with the ergonomic grip of our sticks. Why? We have noticed that the standard grip does not suit everyone, particularly for long periods. Therefore, we designed this pole slightly differently so that you don't have to bend your wrist and can distribute the force more evenly throughout the arm as it is aligned with the pole axis. ; Why have we worked hard on durability?: You trek to enjoy the calm of great expanses which sometimes takes you far from civilisation. You also carry your belongings for several days. Therefore, you need to rely on the resistance of your poles. We have selected wider tubes in the highest grade aluminium. We have secured the push-pin area with internal reinforcement. Compression tests (pressure on the pole axis) demonstrate that this model can support 790 N (~79 kg) per pole. ; Why have we focused on compactness?: You'll probably have to use some form of transport to reach the start of your walk. You will also have to carry a lot of equipment in your bag. It's therefore much more practical to have compact poles. Once folded, these poles can be stored in the side pocket of your trekking backpack or small hiking bag. ; How to adjust your poles to the correct length?: To use the pole: firstly, extend the pole until the “click” of the push-pin. Refer to the instructions attached to the pole. To adjust the length: the arm along the body must be almost straight or slightly bent. This means that it's much shorter than a traditional pole: - Open the lever on the external lock; - Slide the pole to the desired length; - Close the lever. Never go over the STOP line to avoid breaking the pole. ; Directions for use: This hiking pole is designed to help you balance, propel yourself and distribute effort between arms and legs. To be on the safe side, check before you set off and at regular intervals that your baton is locked in place by simulating heavy bumps. If you notice that your pole tends to slide down, the lock mechanism needs adjusting. Open the lever and turn the knob a quarter to a half turn. Do not put on your backpack in case of a storm.
