Similar to the flagship model of the range, this unit includes a modeling lamp and a lithium rechargeable battery, but the EL-5 is in a travel-friendly package, so it will appeal more to casual users and beginners.
This Canon Speedlite EL-5 is compatible with the most recent run of EOS R cameras that feature the updated multi-function shoe. This encourages high-speed communication between the Speedlite and camera, and also dependable power. The lithium rechargeable battery that powers the EL-5 has a battery life of approximately 350 shots, while this flash can produce up to 95 continuous shots and recycle in just 1.2 seconds.
The Canon Speedlite EL-5 includes an easy-to-read LCD screen, which gives a clear visual readout of the current battery level. For changing settings, the EL-5 has a simple joystick and selection dial.
