Fujifilm has launched the new INSTAX Mini LiPlay+, a refined hybrid instant camera that significantly builds upon the original LiPlay lineup. This inspiring new model functions as both a digital camera and an instant printer, offering a more hands-on and creative approach to instant photography. The most notable upgrade is the addition of a second wide-angle rear camera specifically for selfies. This dual-camera setup enables the new Layered Photo Mode, which allows users to combine two images, one from the main front lens and one from the rear lens, into a single, composite Instax print. Beyond its hardware enhancements, the camera maintains essential features like automatic exposure, flash control, and both two and ten-second self-timer modes, making it flexible for any shooting scenario.
The Fujifilm Instax LiPlay+ brings back and expands upon its signature multimedia capabilities, letting users capture more than just a still image. The Instax Sound Print feature returns, enabling creators to record three-second audio clips and "attach" them to their physical prints via a scannable QR code. Taking multimedia a step further, the new Instax Sound Album allows users to transform their captures into animated videos complete with sound, vibrant backgrounds, and music. All of these features are managed through the free companion Instax mini LiPlay app, which connects via Bluetooth. The app allows for remote image capture and provides tools for editing and customization, letting users add frames, stickers, and text before printing. Additionally, the app offers the convenience of printing photos captured directly with a smartphone, truly blending the digital and analogue experience.
