No you should not attempt to lock the 5 Minute CleverChef whilst cooking. As a safety feature the latch cannot be locked. The latch will fall into a down position. But will not lock. The latch is to help secure the 5 Minute CleverChef when stored.

5 Minute Clever Chef wipes down easily using a damp soapy cloth or sponge. Dry with a soft towel or allow to air dry. Do not immerse in water.
