Cutimed Siltec B is a silicone coated, sterile, absorbent polyurethane foam dressing with superabsorbent stripes to additionally absorb and lock wound exudate. The wound contact surface allows adherence to the periwound skin but not to the moist wound bed or newly formed epithelial tissue. The additional silicone adhesive border allows secure and gentle fixation. Self-adhesive silicone border The self-adhesive silicone border, with low allergy potential, keeps the dressing in place and allows an easy application. Good flexibility and conformability towards various body parts. The dressings also can be cut to size.

The highly breathable, water-repellent backing protects the dressing and even makes it possible to take a shower without removing or changing the dressing. Reliable exudate management The vertical absorption makes sure exudate is absorbed and kept inside the dressing – even under compression. Superabsorbent stripes additionally support the absorption capacity.

The skin-friendly, perforated silicone wound contact layer prevents adherence to newly formed tissue, protects wound margins and ensures atraumatic, pain-reduced dressing changes.

1. Prepare the wound and surrounding skin according to local clinical practice.
2. Make sure, the surrounding skin is dry.
3. Choose an appropriate dressing size that covers the wound and overlaps the wound edges.
4. Open the pouch and take out the dressing. Please ensure, that the pouch is not opened or damaged.
5. Remove protective film and apply with the adherent side towards the wound.
6. Avoid stretching the dressing.
7. Depending on the wound location it may be appropriate to apply additional dressing fixation, e.g. in order to increase resistance to incontinence.
8. Cutimed Siltec B may be used on an infected wound in addition to antimicrobial therapy under medical supervision.
9. If necessary, Cutimed Siltec B can be used in combination with other dressings e.g. Cutimed Sorbact/Sorbact (in case of infected wounds).
10. Cutimed Siltec B can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound conditions and saturation of wound dressing.
How to Remove
11. Carefully remove any additional dressing fixation and gently remove Cutimed Siltec B from the wound and discard.
12. If required, cleanse the wound prior to application of a new dressing.

Cutimed® Siltec® B is packaged for single use. Do not re-use or re-sterilize as there is a risk of transmission of body fluids or contaminated tissue between patients. Do not use if the pouch is already open or damaged as the sterility of the device is guaranteed only when the pouch is unopened and undamaged prior to use. Discard open or unused material. Do not use with oxidizing solutions such as hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide. For external use only. The wound should be inspected for signs of infection and treated according to clinical practice if required. In rare cases skin reactions (e.g.redness, itching) may occur. If the treated condition deteriorates, fails to improve or if a side effect is observed, consult a physician or an appropriate healthcare professional.
