Gel 160 is a bigger hydrogel option - encapsulating 40 grams of carbohydrates in each serving. Proven technology built with just 6 ingredients - no added colors, preservatives or flavors. For athletes who want more energy in each gel to fuel their training and racing.

Going long? Take more. It's that simple. Gel 160 is for athletes who want more energy in each gel. In endurance sport - to maintain performance - it's important to fuel regularly. Every fueling moment needs to count. And the further you go, the more carbs you need to sustain performance. Gel 160 helps athletes achieve the right amount of carbs per hour with proven Hydrogel Technology - no matter the situation.

Introducing our newest innovation.

This is still the Gel. Still the cleanest. Still the realest. Still no colors. Still no preservatives. Still hydrogel - that's the innovation. Gel 160 uses the technology that is proven to work for athletes - just more. 40 grams of carbohydrates in each 65-gram sachet.

More or less - it's the same.

Don't fuel short - Gel 160

Different situations require different approaches to get the right amount of carbs every hour. Gel 160 gives you more options - to refine your strategy. The Fuel Guide will advise on how to use Gel 160 with other products in the Maurten ecosystem to empower your training and execute the race you want.

Gel 100 vs Gel 160

Gel 100 and Gel 160 use the same patented Maurten Hydrogel Technology with the same ratio of fructose and glucose - 0.8:1. Gel 100 has 25 grams of carbohydrates and Gel 160 has 40 grams. Both sizes are interchangeable, depending on the training or racing situation. It's a system that enables athletes to fine-tune their fueling strategy.

Science is a part of our nature. And vice versa.

Maurten products are developed for endurance athletes. Driven by research and science to solve problems and enhance performance. It started in 2015. Our patented Hydrogel Technology - encapsulating high concentrations of carbohydrates - made fueling for sports easier to tolerate. The innovation meant less distress in the stomach.

Gel 160 in the real world

The longer the race. The further the training session. The more time flies. It's easy to forget - to miss - your fueling. It's a quirk of endurance sport that, sometimes, the more time we have to think, the less we focus on doing the right thing. And yet - here's the crunch - the longer we're out there, the more important fueling becomes. When the racing is hectic, when opportunities to stop are less frequent, when you've got your head down - pushing on - fueling gets neglected. "I'll eat at the top of the climb. I'll eat when I stop next. I'll eat when I catch the person ahead." Good intentions - but time passes. The kilometres pass. And before you realise, the fatigue has caught up with you instead. Gel 160 is more energy in each sachet - 40 grams. Fuel when you can. Still get enough carbs per hour.
