R2E2 mangoes are sweet, mild flavour with a firm flesh and smaller seed.
How to Pick:
Start with smell. Pick a mango that has a sweet mango aroma and squeeze the mango gently. A ripe mango will give slightly. R2E2 mangoes should have a bright golden colour that tells you it is ripe and ready to eat. R2E2's taste best when completely ripe, so allow fruit to reach full colour with no signs of green for best eating experience.
How to Store:
To get the best taste out of your mangoes, follow these simple storage tips:
- If your mangoes are not ripe enough, store them at room temperature and out of the sun for a few days until ripe
- Never store mangoes in plastic bags – mangoes need air!
Where it's Grown:
Mangoes are grown in the tropical and sub tropical climates of Australia. Main growing areas include Darwin & Katherine in the NT, Mareeba, Bowen & Bundaberg in QLD and Kununurra & Carnarvon in WA.
