Melon Long offers a refreshing, sweet flavour with crisp, juicy flesh. This unique melon is known for its elongated shape. It is a hydrating, natural treat. How to Pick: Choose melons that feel heavy for their size and have a firm, unblemished rind. A faint, sweet aroma at the stem end suggests ripeness. Avoid soft spots or cracks.
Ways to Eat: Enjoy Melon Long chilled and sliced as a refreshing snack or dessert. It is delicious in fruit salads, smoothies, or paired with prosciutto. This melon adds vibrancy to breakfast bowls.
How to Store: Store whole, uncut melons at room temperature until ripe. Once ripe, or cut, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to three days. Wrap cut surfaces tightly to maintain freshness.
Cooking Methods: Melon Long is best enjoyed raw to appreciate its fresh flavour. It can be lightly grilled for a caramelised taste in salads, or blended into refreshing beverages.
