Convenient snack. These multipack sultanas are a fantastic ‘throw in the bag’ snack to have on hand, when the hunger pangs strike. Not to mention, a kid approved treat. And I say treat purposely, as this product is very high in sugar and definitely a sometimes food for my kids.
Found in the dried fruit and nuts aisle at Woolies, this product was easy to locate thanks to its distinctive green packaging. It’s very clear that they are Australian sultanas, with the prominent map of Australia on each box, but in all honesty, the kids weren’t as enticed to try these sultanas, preferring the Sunbeam mini packs with the fun animal pictures on them. Something to consider, Woolies.
I will pack these sultanas for for kids, for a little ‘something extra’ when having morning tea at the park or going to the beach etc.
The sultanas themselves aren’t as plump and juicy as Sunbeam but they are tasty and suitably sweet. My kids love them! They are a great sized portion, given they are almost 75% sugar, so perfect in small quantities. Interestingly, they have a lot more sodium than the Sunbeam variety (36mg opposed to 14mg per 100g) which is also something to keep in mind if you have issues with salt.
A great option to have in the pantry, and definitely a product I recommend and would buy again.
