What should I sterilise?
Breastmilk expressing equipment, bottles, teats, feeding utensils, dummies, toys, surfaces and many other plastic household items.
Milton gives hygienic protection for baby and home and can be used for the following applications:
- Disinfect pre-cleaned bottles, teats, breast expression equipment infant feeding equipment, toys and brushes.
- Disinfect pre-cleaned non-metallic jars, bottles, storage containers and chopping boards.
- Disinfect cleaned non-metallic cupboards, work surfaces, shelves, cookers, fridges and freezers by wiping with made-up solution and leaving for 15 minutes.
- Remove stains from cups.
- Disinfect sponges, scourers, toothbrushes, home brewing equipment.
1 Clean
Wash bottles, teats, breastfeeding equipment in warm soapy water, then rinse in cold water.
2 Prepare solution
Fill your milton unit with 4L of clean cold water, add 50mL (2 1/2 capfuls) of the milton solution (1:80 ratio)
3 Add items
Completely submerge all items under water. Cover items with a submerger or china plate to eliminate air bubbles. In just 15 minutes everything is ready to use. No need to rinse with water. Items can stay in the made-up solution until needed. Renew the made-up solution for every 24 hours, after washing the unit in warm water and detergent.
