The scabbard's sharpening cassette will need to be cleansed regularly. Remove the knife from scabbard and place in a safe location.
1. To clean the scabbard, gently lift the end cap from the scabbard, as shown.
2. Remove the end cap completely from the scabbard.
3. Firmly tap the tip of the scabbard onto a clean bench top surface, do not clean scabbard over a food preparation area Note that small steel filings will fall out of the scabbard casing. Dispose of all steel filings carefully. Place end cap back into scabbard once cleaning is complete.
