The lush, fertile land around Tully in North Queensland is Australia's wettest with over 4,000mm of rain per year. Showered with fresh, natural rain water through the summer growing season, our Rain Fed Brown Wholegrain Rice is highly fragrant, super soft and totally delicious.
The Dore, Anderson and Mcalary families collectively operate neighbouring farms totalling 1,200HA South of Tully in far North Queensland. The wet tropical climate has traditionally been the home of sugar cane and bananas. We now also find it ideal to grow rain-fed rice, which the families have been producing together since 2014.
