The active ingredient (diclofenac) [in our gels] (delete 'in our gels') penetrates deep into the skin and provides pain relief for up to 12 hours, without a tablet.

It works differently from heat or cooling rubs, that work by heating or cooling the skin. The Emulgel technology used in Voltaren Pain Relief Gel 12 Hourly has an added permeation enhancer, which helps more active ingredient diclofenac to penetrate deeply through the skin and reach the site of the pain, inflammation, and swelling, where you need it.
