Woolworths Apricots offer a delightful taste of summer, with velvety skin and sweet, juicy golden flesh. These versatile fruits are perfect for fresh snacking, baking, or enhancing savoury dishes. How to Pick: Choose plump, firm apricots with a vibrant golden-orange colour, yielding slightly to gentle pressure. Avoid bruises, soft spots, or shrivelled skin for optimal quality.
How to Store: Store ripe apricots in the refrigerator to maintain freshness. Unripe apricots ripen at room temperature in a paper bag.
How to Prepare: Wash apricots gently under cool water. Cut around the stone, then twist the halves apart. Remove the stone before eating or cooking.
Ways to Eat: Enjoy fresh as a snack, or slice into fruit salads and yoghurts. Excellent baked in pies, tarts, crumbles, or cooked into jams. Pairs well with roast meats.
Cooking Methods: Bake, grill, poach, roast, stew.
