Rumour has it, Darrell Lea Chocolate Coated Roughs were invented by a miraculous machine malfunction. As factory workers were making Coconut Ice, the conveyor belt started spitting out desiccated coconut all over the factory. By chance, some of the coconut fell into a vat of rich, creamy milk chocolate creating Chocolate Coated Roughs. Marvellous!
