Manuka (Leptospermum scoparium) is a prolific scrub-type tree native to New Zealand and Australia. Manuka was used extensively by the Maori and later by the early European Settlers for its herbal remedy function, alone and in combination with other native plants. Due to the relatively strong, distinctive flavour of Manuka leaves, care needs to be taken with the amount included in tea blends. It is particularly suited to blending with Black Teas and will complement Fruit Teas well, especially those with a more intense flavour profile, like Camomile with Lemon & Honey.
Ti Ora®, which means tea of wellbeing, is proudly blended in New Zealand from high quality, natural ingredients. Our premium tea blends are made from natural ingredients and New Zealand botanicals, which are blended with care to ensure they stay true to nature. So, if reconnecting with nature if what you want, pour yourself a cup!
We care about nature: It’s the New Zealand way to care deeply about the planet and take care of it in the best way we can. We want to be mindful of how we impact the planet and inspire others to do the same. That’s why we use tea leaves that are ethical and sustainable, as well as supporting nonprofit projects that make a positive change by restoring our planet.
In short, we couldn’t be happier to partner with these fantastic, feel-good foundations.
